Japan has a specific fashion industry. One of the interesting shop styles is called "Select shop". People may call it a specialty store in English. The famous ones are UNITED ARROWS, SHIPS, and BEAMS. They started their business 1970's and first achieved a good reputation of their selection of imported brand items. But in 90's they gradually shifted to produce items as their original brand, being inspired by many overseas brands.
Now they sell items in their shops 70% original and 30% imported&selected items. You may find many of them in secondhand shops in Japan. In my personal feeling, those items are relatively inexpensive but still have good tastes.
